Yanislav Tachev was born on 1.05.1966 in the town of Balchik, Bulgraia. He finished secondary school in his native town. In school he trained track-and-field athletics and marine sport pentathlon in which he is a national champion for 1980 – when he is only 14 years old.

He began training bodybuilding in 1982 when he is 16. Just in a few months of hard training he participated in the first ever bodybuilding competition in Bulgaria – Grand Prix “BONSIST”, where he won the 3rd place in a Men class because at that time there wasn`t yet a Junior class.

He served two years in the Bulgarian army as a tankman of T55 in the tank brigade of Ajtos. In army he continued hard training every day.

From 1986 to 1990 he was a student in NSA (National Sport Academy). At first in the Athletics department and the next year he moved in Heavy Athletics department in “Weightlifting” discipline, because “Bodybuilding” discipline still did not exist.

His dream all the time was to attend to bodybuilding and while his colleagues trained the standard weightlifting movements, he trained for bodybuilding contests.

Till 1990 he was working as an instructor in three places at the same time in Sport Society “Levski-Spartak” (the first Sport Society in Bulgaria that open bodybuilding gyms where people can pay and train) – at “Spartak” swimming-pool, “Rakovski stadium” and “Gerena stadium”.

From 1990 to 1993 he was a physical education teacher in Balchik. At the same time he established and took the leadership of bodybuilding sport club “Chernomoretc”.

In 1993 he returned to Sofia and established SC “Apolon”. He is so far the President of this club. The same year he opened his first gym in Sofia.

Also the same year he is chosen for a member of the Board of Managers of the Bulgarian Bodybuilding Federation. Till then the federation did not exist juridical although all the attempts that have been made for its registration. Yanislav Tachev and the new secretary Valentin Todorov are the people who succeed in the legalization of the federation. It was done with the Rules of SC “Apolon”.

From December 1995 to December 1999 Yanislav Tachev is the General Executive of the Bulgarian Bodybuilding Federation. Because of the low budget of the organization he undertook the expenses for the preparation and participation of the National team using his own funds. He also undertook the expenses necessary for organizing the events from the sport calendar of the year.

In 2006 he established and became a President of the Bulgarian National Fitness Federation – World Fitness Federation.

For more than 15 years Yanislav Tachev has organized many national and international fitness and bodybuilding competitions in Bulgaria.

Athletes that built their physique and reached their biggest successes as competitors of SC “Apolon” under the master-hand, finance and moral support of m.s. (Master of Sport) Yanislav Tachev are: Vladimir Petrov, Pavel Ivanov, Desislava Kostadinova, Momchil Milev, Hristomir Hristov, Nedik Nedev, Denislav Angelov, Yosif Yosifov, Anastasia Sharenkova, Dimitar Sarafov, Georgi Antonov, Dimitar Yovichin, Georgi Dementiev, Maria Syarova, Daniela Yordanova, Daniela Kacarova, Milena Tevilova, Iva Todorova, Valentina Jeleva, Emilia Borisova, Emilia Angelova, Anna Georgieva, Reneta Shirvanian, Vesela Efremova, Diana Ilieva, Miroslav Yonchev – all of them National, Balkan, European or World champions.

Yanislav Tachev is a publisher of the best Bulgarian and European fitness and bodybuilding magazine – “FitnessSport”.

One of his aims is to popularize fitness and bodybuilding among young people, so he gratuitous endow equipment for centers for “Children with non-equal social status”. He is a sponsor of different sport events organized by the Student`s Municipality in Sofia.

He grants one of the gyms of SC “Apolon” for use and for the sport classes for the students of the “Technological school – electronic systems” and for the students of the “Mining-Geological University”, Sofia.
